Extreme Weather Policy

This document describes the Matthew Costin – Test & Tag Extreme Weather Policy.

Here at Matthew Costin – Test & Tag we have a duty of care to our staff working at your site testing and tagging.

High Temperatures:

When the temperature reaches 35°C, regardless of humidity or is forecast to reach:
Works Outside: We will suspend all work orders.
Works Inside: The building will need to have adequate air conditioning across all areas we work in.

When the temperature reaches 30°C and the humidity is 75%
Works Outside:
We will suspend all work orders.
Works Inside: The building will need to have adequate air conditioning across all areas we work in.

In the terms of adequate air conditioning: the ambient temperature of the building should be below 25°C otherwise we will have to suspend the work order.

The temperature is measured at the nearest Bureau of Meteorology weather station to the work site for outside works or can be measured by a Temperature & Humidity Meter for both inside and outside readings.

Other Extreme Weather:

During rain, hail, windstorm, dust or any combination of these, our staff will not be able to perform Testing and Tagging outside due to the dangerous conditions for us to use powered equipment in these conditions.

If the conditions for Other Extreme Weather can pass within One Hour, we will continue after this, After this one hour, we will need to suspend all work orders.

When a work order has been suspended due to this policy, we will rescheduled the works for the next business day were possible, or to our next available appointment.

Matthew Costin – Test & Tag reserves the right when to apply our Extreme Weather Policy, Exemptions to this policy can be made by Matthew Costin at his sole discretion only.

During an emergency situation or in the case of urgent works an Exemption to this policy can be made by Matthew Costin at his sole discretion only.

This policy will be reviewed regularly to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practices. Updates may be made as necessary to reflect changes in the law or organizational requirements.
