What are the defects?
DC-IN plug of the AC adapter may overheat and cause a fire when the material contained within the plug deteriorates over time.
What are the hazards?
Potential fire hazard.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should turn off their PC at the wall socket and unplug the 2-pin AC adapter immediately.
Consumers can visit www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/announcements(link is external) to determine if the 2-pin AC adapter is affected and if so, register to return it for a free replacement AC adapter.
